Question Teething Remedies?

Just wondered if anyone knows any good remedies or gels that can be used for teething kittens?

Treacle loves to bite and sometimes prefers small dry kibbles to wet food, I think he has teething troubles.

The other night he kept dropping his bits of boiled chicken, and I know they do this when their teeth hurt. He knocked out his 2 baby fangs in his accident this week, and the vet said they looked fine (i.e. not infected or anything).

Perhaps I should give him an ice cube??

I was informed by my vet that kittens can teeth from around 15 weeks old and should have their adult teeth by the time they are 8 months. You may not find any baby teeth that fall out they probably swallow them.

Oh, I see! Thank you!

So does that explain why Poppy used to be much more bitey than she currently is?

Re: Teething Remedies?

Tying a knot in a straw provides endless entertainment. I suppose the straws could be kept in the fridge so as to feel cool.

Re: Teething Remedies?

Good plan! Might try that. Treacle was much more bity when younger, it was his favourite habit!! Still is sometimes!!! I think bitey babies loosen their milk teeth sooner than ones who are less bitey!!! Treacle's baby fangs were hanging on for some time quite loose before they came out. He has days when he can eat anything he likes and other days when the teeth play up more than others, I think today is the latter.......
