Ear trouble

My Hugo was furiously scratching at his ears yesterday so I had a look and he had these...... two on one ear and one on the other.

Does anybody have a clue what they could be? Still there this morning but no scratching. I've never found any evidence of fleas so he's never been treated for them.
I'm waiting for results from a skin scrape/hair pluck on another kitten who is scratching for england but no spots like Hugo, wonder if they could be related?
Thanks

Re: Ear trouble

They look like bites but its not very clear in the pic sorry i cant help you more. Keep an eye they dont get any bigger and he doesnt break the skin by all the scraching if worried get the vet to check them. If its a bite they should just go of there own accord.
