Poorly Tummy

Being a "1st time mum" my ginger tom who is 6 months old was acting strangely this morning, usually meows at my bedroom door to be fed, not a peep out of him.
I found he has poo'd in my spare room which is unlike him and bits of poo all over the house.

Is it best not to wet feed him for a couple of days and just give him biscuits? I usually feed him wet food twice a day and he as biscuits down during the day with water.

He is due to be neutered next wed perhaps he knows!!!

Re: Poorly Tummy

Is the poo normal?
If it's runny you could withhold food for around 12hours and just feed boiled chicken and see if it settles his tummy.

Hmmm maybe he just had to go and couldn't make it to the tray in time. How is he in himself?

Re: Poorly Tummy

he seems fine - just acting a bit sheepish! perhaps his food is too rich for him, i tried a different brand.

when I saw all the poo he looked at me and poo'd again on the carpet, he is usually a very clean cat. hopefully he is just feeling a bit off.

Re: Poorly Tummy

Its probably the new food upset him a bit. If you introduce anything new its best to do it gradually, adding a bit of the new food to the old one and gradually increasing the proportions.

Wet food is better than dry, so I would stick to that. Poor boy. If his tum is a bit dodgy, maybe if you only have one tray add another one somewhere so he doesn't have to go too far to find one.
