kitten fleas - would you...?
Hi, Found fleas on our new 11 week old kitten. I have Advocate for large cats in the house, would it be safe to apply a small amount of that to the kitten? it says don't use on kittens under 9 weeks, but the .8ml version i have is obviously a quanitity aimed at large adult cats. I was thinking of using almost half of it?
Safe enough if I'm careful about not using too much? Or should I leave the fleas and wait for specific vet prescription? Or I have those johnsons tablets that kill the exisiting fleas, but obviously only a temporary solution (they say ok for kittens).
In the meantime I will spray the room the kitten is in with Indorex, which i have here. Our resident cat did have fleas couple of weeks ago (suddenly immune to frontline) and the kitten may have picked up some eggs etc?
Also, she has had soft stools for 2 days - not terrible diarrhea but definitely softer than they were - and got it on her fur etc - is on her original diet of a mixture of dry arden grange and wiskas pouches. Still full of life, eating, drinking, sleeping, playing, very confident.
Any thoughts?
