Re: 6 month old kitten

There could be many reasons for this... is the litter tray kept clean? What litter is used? Is it a covered or open litter tray? How many litter trays does your friend have?? Has she thoroughly cleaned the places the kitten is using??

Re: 6 month old kitten

Could be many, many reasons for this. Having a cat who has been urinating outwith the litter tray for about 2 months now I can sympathise with your friend.

I would ask all the questions KFM has, also agree with Jenny about stress.

It may be worth speaking to a vet to see what they say, if it was only urinating then it could be a sign of cystitis or a UTI but not sure about the pooing too.
