Kitten feeding advice

I may be getting a young kitten soon, well I say young as it's the youngest I've ever had. Is 13 weeks today.
Currently fed Royal Canin BSH dry and Whiskas wet.
I am thinking if I do get him that once he is settled in I will very gradually change it over. The wet food will be Animonda and Smilla but I am thinking it may be good to feed him some dry as that can be left out for him to graze on as he wishes. I was thinking maybe Orijen? Any others which may be better?

I believe it's correct that kittens should be allow to eat as much food as they like, is this right? Just double checking as like I say it will be my first youngster.
