Re: People who feed dry...

Some of our girls eat just dry at certain times of the year, like around now and our choc gals are massive dry only eaters, and Gaia doesn't usually do dry at all but i did catch her tucking into some last night, but then late pregnancy does funny things to your palate, but if i don't offer the dry eaters wet they want it,if i give them some wet they don't bloody eat it,i think they think oh look bless lets give her something to do,she looks bored

lol - this is so my cats! My moggy has been eating only dry for a while and then pestered me for wet (which the other one will only eat) I gave it to him, he ate the first bowl, has just asked for more and turned his nose up at it! Typical!

Re: People who feed dry...

I have to mix in dry food with wet food. My kitty wont eat dry food unless he's really hungry. But the dry food is good for their teeth so I ensure that he eats some dry food!!

Re: People who feed dry...

dry food being good for there teeth isn't strictly true. if you cat will eat raw meat and bone, that is great for their teeth, like in the wild.

I only feed Mikah dry food. I've yet to give her any of those canned things.. I'm thinking I may give her something for thanksgiveing (I'm American :])

But she always eats all of her food without a problem.. I can't help but feel bad because she eats the same thing everyday... So I do let her drink the milk from my cereal when I'm done (on occasion..) Or lick the already-eaten rib bones (once).. Or a piece of cheese because she was giving me a puppy-face (or kitty-face) while i was eating it.

But besides that her main diet is dry food. I was also told it's better for her teeth.. I feed her "Greenies" treats aswell, which help with plaque.. And I have to say.. Her breath is fresh and her teeth are white!

Wow I talk forever. I need to cut down on how much I say.

(this is what I feed her Nutro Max Kitten 6 pound - Cat Food at Arcata Pet Supplies and Greenies - Cat Treats - PetFoodDirect)
