I used one for a litter of kittens once - and yes I left it on when I went out, and it didn't seem that warm but they always slept on the bit it was in so it must have been warm enough.

Hi, not sure if its any good but the cp always use heated blankets, i know you can get them from p@h, but they are not in the cat section

mine have several flectabed q beds which they absolutely adore even in summer there is normally a cat on them. They do get toasty warm.
