coincidence or not?

I used to feed my cats Go Cat until I changed their diet about 6 weeks ago which they now love.

Now beau, my boy, has always been a very keen hunter and every morning we would find his half eaten or just the head of his prey on the patio. Iv'e noticed since I changed him on to better food he is still hunting but no longer eating his prey.

Coincidence or not? it's almost as though he had been eating the prey to get the nutrients he wasn't getting from the Go Cat.

Your thoughts please.
