Scales

Anyone know where to get some digital scales that wont break the bank to weigh the kitties?

Have been using the kitchen scales but willow is too big to fit in the box I was putting on top now

Re: Scales

Depends how much use they're going to get and what you mean by 'won't break the bank'. I've spent plenty over the years trying to find the perfect scales and these suit me fine
ULTRASCALE MBSC-55 My Weigh Baby Pet Scale
If I have a criticism it's that at lower weights they only weigh in 2g increments rather than 1g but this is a choice I made for greater range so I could also use them to keep track of my adult cats' weight - everything in life is a compromise

Re: Scales

The only thing to watch for is the increments - make sure it's stated. There's no point having scales which only show 10g increments if you want to weigh newborns.

Like these - http://www.digitalscales-uk.co.uk/mb...scale-27-p.asp
They look just the same as the ones I have only cheaper but they'd be no use for tiny kittens.

Re: Scales

What weight do your current scales go up to? You could try popping Willow into a carrier and then weighing the carrier on its own. Even my little ones try to jump out of the bowl on mine now so you don't get the most accurate of readings

Brilliant idea! I've been thinking of getting some good scales for weighing the kitties but have too many other things to spend my cash on at the moment. We'll give the balance board a go tonight - thanks
