Wont eat or drink

My 6 month old male cat for the past few days wont eat either meat or buiscuits or drink water. He will drink milk and eat treats such as dreamies. Luckilyi have some cimicat in from when he was a kitten as he was handreared due to complications with his mom. Anyone have a possible solution for this please?
Or maybe some insight x

Is he an outside cat? If so he may be eating rabbit, mice etc. Try him with a bit of fresh chicken.

Re: Wont eat or drink

This isn't normal behaviour and I would suggest he's feeling unwell in some way or another so I'd suggest he needs to see a vet to be checked over.

Has his behaviour changed in any other way?

Re: Wont eat or drink

I'd definitely get him down to the vet. Not eating or drinking for a few days can be fatal for a kitten as they go downhill so quick.

Hope it's nothing too serious but better to be safe than sorry.

Re: Wont eat or drink

Definitely a vet visit but in the meantime I would stop giving him milk and dreamies-they're most likely filling him up!

Re: Wont eat or drink

I would suggest taking him to the Vet too as he should be eating more than that and there is no point in second guessing what the cause may be if it has already been a few days of not eating.

Hope he is OK.

Re: Wont eat or drink

Thanks all. His behaviour is exactly the same, he is the normal bouncy playful cat. Not an out door one so no eating of wildlife.

Will get him into vets see what they say

Re: Wont eat or drink

Seems like the cimicat has awoken his hunger and he has just devoured half a small plate of meat.

Thanks all for responses

Re: Wont eat or drink

Good to hear he's eating now!!

Could still be teething, I reckon. My Treacle only wants to eat crunchies when his teeth are hurting. Hope yours is fine now
