Question Is it safe for my cat to roll around after having a spay operation done today?

Hi,

Picked up my beloved female cat from the vets today after having her spay operation done - everything is A OK including her desovable stitches.

I did have a look around on the net but cant seem to find this topic anywhere...

Is it ok for her to roll around on the floor at the moment (I dont want her to damage anything inside or out)

She seems to be doing it a lot and even though i know she shouldnt be jumping around (which she isn't) i dont know if its ok for her to roll on the floor.

The vet didnt say one way or another - and neither does any main sites (just the jumping thing)

I didnt really want to bother my vet with an 'emergency' call as it isn't an emergency really.

Thanks for any advice...

Timez

lol very true - attempting to stop her by voice or touch only causes her to... roll more - kinda defeats the object -

and lol yeah yeah im so over cautous i check the wound like every 5 mins - not just for reopening -

but anything that i think dont look right - so far so good tho and least i know by tommorow it would at least healed a tiny bit.

I think its becuase it was only done today im so paranoid.

I mean i can see the outside - but i wont know if she reopens something inside - just have to hope i suppose.

Thank you for the reasurance though - least i can (kinda) rest a bit easier for now.

Believe me, it's impossible Skye was spayed on thursday and rolling around wrestling on the floor with Spencer when she got home. Have to keep an eye on them though as Spencer likes to stand on her stomach when he is playing!
