bozita

i thought bozita was meant to be one of the better wet foods but the only ones i can find on zooplus are 4% meat.

am i looking at the wrong one?

also the natures menu on there is very low % too. compared to the one i have which is 71%

and what do people think of feline porta.

thanks

xx

Re: bozita

Hi Kinley,

Bozita isn't only 4% meat it's a minimum of 4% flavour meat, i.e the crayfish flavour will contain a minimum 4% crayfish plus chicken, pork and beef adding up to a total in the region of 50-60% overall in the Jelly Varieties and 90% in the Pate. To be honest in my opinion Bozita is a reasonable food and decent value for money but if your kitty is happy to eat pate foods I would stick with them.

Zooplus don't sell Nature's Menu, however a German brand Schmusy have recently released a Nature's Menu range. This is what is for sale on Zoolpus, these are two completely different products.

Re: bozita

Kinley, have you tried the search function on this site? There is also a sticky on top of this section about an A-Z of wet cat food.

Personally, I think you might be better off reading around the topic of cat nutrition and what should or should not be in cat food and what "good" cat food looks like so you can make your own decisions.

Re: bozita

thank you for that, im finding the nutritional information hard lol.

at the moment i have the proper natures menu 12 pouches and orijen biscuits, but need to order today or tomorrow a bulk lot from zooplus.

ok so ive decided to order animonda carny 6 x 200g and bozita 6 x 410g (are these tins too big for a kitten thou would i end up chucking some), but i would like to order a 3rd one, but i cant seem to find one (unless im reading the nutrition wrong)

could you suggest a 3rd one for me in a similar price range to the 2 above please. ive seen some good ones but they are about £6 for 6 pouches *ouch*

thanks again

Re: bozita

Bozita don't do little tins which is a pain. You would need to refrigerate some of the food.

Another good one is Smilla which is Zooplus's own brand. They do 200g tins and have a good choice of meat pots and fish pots.

I feed these to my cats every other day and they do enjoy them. The fish-pots are VERY fishy!!!

EDIT: Price is very reasonable and less than Bozita & Animonda.

Re: bozita

Has anyone spotted the new Bozita varieties on Zooplus, in smaller cartons? Some specifically for kittens now, others for indoor cats, etc. No mention of grains, but the recipe seems quite different. I only skim-read it, so please correct me if I missed something. Seems a lot more expensive for a possibly inferior product - I hope they aren't phasing out the original types of Bozita for this...

I noticed them, and the dry food for the same categories. Very expensive for such little cartons.
