Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

Hi there

I'm really wanting to buy in some Grau, but am very worried about using Zooplus again as the last three orders I've had from them have had damaged tins in. Ideally, I'm looking for tins of the same flavour, i.e, not the variety packs, and as long as the tins aren't damaged and there's no give in the lids, i.e, they don't give at all when pressed, then I'm happy to take as many as I can get.

Does anyone have any they're wanting rid of?

Re: Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

Haven't got any but if you don't want to order from zooplus you can also get some here: Hochwertiges Katzenfutter kaufen or here: Grau Nassfutter für Katzen. Both also stock the big 800g tins and both shops also stock Mac's, which is like Grau but better and cheaper

Re: Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

I've also been looking at Grau but don't want to order from Zooplus for the same reasons as you. I have emailed Mutley & Mog (I've had two brilliantly packaged and fast Bozita and Orijen orders from them) to ask if they can get any Grau and Animonda from their supplier.

Re: Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

Oh, could you let me know the outcome of that email?

Hobs, I can't use the foreign sites. I am blind and have to use a screen reader to access my computer. It doesn't work with any of the translators, so I'm absolutely stuffed, unless someone will let me share part of their order with them, as I can't order on there myself. Just at my wit's end as to what to feed now that Zooplus is a no no for food. I know about the usual Purely/High Life etc, but the prices are ridiculous for what you get, and the meat content isn't as good as the likes of Grau. I also like the idea of a single source protein. Help!

I certainly will, soon as I hear from them

Carly, I'd go ahead with and order from Zooplus. I've been ordering from them for quite some time now and not all deliveries arrived with dented tins. Do bear in mind we're far more likely to hear about the damaged ones on here!

Re: Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

Carly87, you could always email Daniela from Floydspfotenshop with a list of foods you would like to buy. I am sure when you explain that your screen reader cannot quite deal with the German she will rustle up an order for you. If you choose to order from her and you are looking for single protein source food then I suggest you also try some Ropocat who do quite a few flavours. Floyds have also developed their own food (with a couple of other peeps) - Om Nom Nom, which currently only comes in a chicken flavour. And if you don't mind paying a tiny bit more, petnatur do a couple of organic single protein foods - chicken and beef.

On an aside, the Mac's is not single protein and apart from a couple of flavours contain rice. If you would like to try some of the ropocat (I have got some lamb and some venison tins here) and a tin of the grain-free Macs then let me know and I send you a couple of tins to try so you know that your lot will eat it.

PS: Ianthi has got a very valid point - you only hear about the bad experiences on here. I know that you said that your last 4 orders were damaged, which is incredibly unlucky but surely your run of bad zooplus luck must be over now!

Re: Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

when I ordered from Floyds a while ago I just emailed Daniela with a list of what I wanted and she sent me a paypal invoice for the goods. There was no problem at all by not doing it through the web site. I kept on finding things were dropping out of my basket hence I emailed her.

Re: Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

I got order's from Zooplus twice over the past month; once for Grau/AC and some cat milk, and this week I got cat litter, a cat tunnel and Orijen. Neither time were the boxes damaged and all stock was delivered without problems.

The only time I had a problem was with my first order when the litter was pierced. On reflection I actually think this was the fault of Parcelforce, not Zooplus, although they refunded me 50% of the cost.

I would try ordering from Zooplus again, as if I was going from my statistics alone, out of 20 orders of various sizes and products I have only had one problem which was resolved to satisfaction.

Re: Grau: Does Anyone Have Any?

I wish I could believe that! Petrified to order from them again because they said they won't refund me another penny if I don't take photos of the damaged goods. I don't have any help to take photographs except for a cleaner who comes in once a month, so I'm stuffed if it does go wrong! Thanks for the offer, Hobbs. I'd love to try some different bits and pieces. If you'll let me know how much they cost and the best way to get money to you, then I'll send a payment across.

I did email Daniella, and have actually just discovered that my spam filters caught it. The only problem is that the Grau is ridiculously expensive there. 2 euros 35 for a 400 gram tin! It's almost twice the price of Zooplus!

I'll order from them again if I have to, but as I say, I'm so, so worried about doing it. But I need something steady to feed these little'uns on for the next few weeks.
