Re: insurance

Have a read of this link,it is compiled by Albert Ross a member on the forum. It explains all the things you need to consider.I'm with Pet Plan and think that they give me the cover I need.As for cost that will depend on many things there is no "one size fits all" even in the same company Pet Insurance. Compare pet insurance policies from the major pet insurers and save money.

Mmm, that Petguard article is a familiar story. My dad has a young GSD with elbow dysplasia and lost his lifetime cover with Petguard.

I'm with Petplan, as mentioned in the link they are their own underwriter which offers some peace of mind. I was with AXA before, also their own underwriter, but I've been trying to claim from them for months and still not had any luck.

Is that Pet Plan you are still waiting for a claim on? They are usually prompt at dealing with claims, well that's our experience and we have been with them for over 7 years.

Our vet deals with the claims, we sign the form, pay the excess and get the confirmation from PP to advise how much they will pay the vet.

Re: insurance

Another Pet Plan user here - I pay almost £11 a month for my 9 year old and approx £8 a month for Oscar (6 months). We now have his sister and she's on the free for a month thing given by out vets but when I upgrade it tomorrow I expect to pay a simillar amount for her.

The main thing is to go for lifetime cover.

No, AXA. I've not needed to claim from Petplan yet *touch wood*
