Re: miley is still at the vets really poorly

Just a thought from left field, but have they tested for toxoplasmosis. A friends cat had that, and he was generally not himself but as it also can cause neurological problems he had problems with his back legs, and could barely walk. It was several years ago, and I can not remember what the treatment was, but I do remember it did take a while for him to get back to full strength, he was very wobbly for several weeks.

Bless her little heart, it must be so very hard for you, feeling helpless is just the worst thing It's really weird but I read an article today that included a little bit on paralysis, have they checked for encephalitis?
I hope that when you see them they can reassure you.

My friends cat that got it was also an indoor cat, with access to an enclosed run. He was also the only one affected in her household which was odd.

I hope they manage to work out what it is and then she can be treated, it sounds as though you are going through a really awful time.

Let's just keep everything crossed that the bloods come back with answers, you are a very caring Mum and it's obvious they both mean the world to you.

Re: miley is still at the vets really poorly

just a little update, we brought her home last night and she hasn't been sick since yesterday morning, the vets were just amazing with her, it made me cry how much they had looked after her, she had a good night, she managed to eat a little this morning and has even been to the toilet on her own!! whoop whoop!!

thanks all so much for your replies, i'll keep you all updated on her progress x

one thing i meant to ask that i have noticed, she keeps her tail between her legs all the time? is this normal, or is she just sick to death of the vets taking her temp all the time?? :-) anyone know??

Thanks guys x x x

Does she still have paralysis in her back legs, because her holding her tail like that could be all part of that problem.

Re: miley is still at the vets really poorly

The poor girl has been through so much. Her tail might be down because she's feeling poorly and miserable. I do hope her test results come back with nothing too terrible.
Thinking of you ((())) xx
