Re: kitten with problems

Hi, Michelle, this seems to be a problem that lasts for too much time. If the vet that has treated her so far has shown the interest in solving it as you have described, I believe you really need to go to another one.

You say the cat poos regularly, how often does that happen? How many times per day?

As for not cleaning herself, it is not something that she learns from her mom, they clean themselves instinctively: I found my first cat when he was only 2-3 days after he was born, I am practically his "mother", and he has cleaned himself since he could.

Many cats with diarrhoea will not clean themselves.

Re: kitten with problems

hi there just an updat about my little kitten.

i took her to the vets who checked her over and he wormed her and looked at her poo etc and it turned out she has a reaction to rice no matter how little or large the amount.

i have now changed her food to a complete rice free one its from pets at home and its called natures something.

all is good now her poo is 100% solid and her bottom isnt puffy and red anymore

also she is cleaning herself and let me bath her so all in all i have a much healthier and happier little kitten.

i would like to thank everyone for their help and advise it really was appreciated
