Re: My Cat Lucy
Sorry I didn't post before, they did the blood tests it wasn't her kidneys or thyroid like they thought. But she had become seriously anemic.
After being there at the vets allday and having a discussion with three vets for nearly an hour we came to the conclusion to pts. She had just collapsed, the poor thing could not even lift her head. It was seriously one of the hardest decisions I ever made. I did not want to all morning, but they said with 75 years of veterinary experience between them they know that it's probably either an internal bleed or probably cancer. And they would not be able to tell, maybe with a MRI scan. But she was just to weak to put her through any added stress and that it would run into 1000s and she would pass away anyway.
I guess I didn't rush here to post because sometimes I feel some people on here are a little harsh and expect you to put your animals through all sorts of things even when they are suffering. If you had seen her you would know it was the right thing. She declined so quicky in 24hrs, it was like she had already gone.
I lost my oldest who was 15 and a half 2 months ago to nerve/spine damage. My youngest 6 months ago to bowel cancer who was just 6 years old and now Lucy who was 10 all in the space of 6 months. I'm not sure I can take anymore heartache.
Thanks to the ones who posted in this thread and you Ianthi who is always so caring and around to offer advice.
