Some advice wonted

hi
There are many makes of cat food on the market yet what I 've read not all are good ( meatwise) some contain more additives than meat so which ones are good and those not too expensive? I feed my cat a handful of dryed food daily ( go-cat) but mostly he eats between 2-3 pouches a day aswell sometimes half - 1 pouch extra ( felix / whiskers).

Also I found with tiggs when I put a full pouch on his plate most times he wont eat it all .but seems to prefer a small amount and if he wonts more I give him the rest and seems to eat all his food that way is it normal for some cats to prefer small amounts than large amounts as large amounts seems to put him off eating.?
He is mainly outdoor cat -comes in for some food , sits down for 10 mins then wonts to go out again , dinnertime he usually stays in for3-4 hours sleep then off on his travels plus he is 12bs and only 15 months :tiggs1x
