Constipation!!!

My baby has not been for 2 days, i have changed her food from Nature's menu to Encore and Almo Nature. She has always had James wellbeloved dry food.

Is there a natural way to help her (ie grass), if not any suggestions welcome.

Re: Constipation!!!

How often did she go before then? Sardines in oil works well, at least it did with mine!

Grass acts as an emetic which means it causes vomiting (only ) so won't be of any use at all!

Re: Constipation!!!

She would go once a day, if not twice!

Nothing all weekend!

Re: Constipation!!!

Are the Encore and Almo Nature both wet foods? If so you know they are both complementary? (sorry if it's a stupid question but not everybody does and I don't believe the labels explain this well enough). Also if wet foods then both are very low in fat and might be contributing to the cause, from experience when I've fed just meat (be that raw or cooked) the frequency decreases significantly. Unless she's going to the box and straining but nothing's coming out I wouldn't be too concerned today, as Ianthi has said I would give her some oily fish and personally I would switch her back to Natures Menu (or some other complete wet food) too. If that doesn't do the trick in the next day or so or she starts straining I would nip her to the vets.

Re: Constipation!!!

Amber has just pooped

Think I am going to have to find a new complete dry food! as she is not keen on Natures Menu.
