Re: 100% meat/fish freeze dried treats?

Pets at home do their own version in chicken or fish and they are just as popular as the Thrive brand at a fraction of the price.

Re: 100% meat/fish freeze dried treats?

Ours go crazy for Thrive treats. Just the sound of me picking up the tube of Thrive has Monty running downstairs and jumping up onto the cupboard top miaowing. Dinah, as always, is a little more reserved. They will even "sit" for them, i.e. they will be leaping around and I will say "sit" and they will. Adorable. Definitely a hit in this house! The chicken Thrive treats are more popular than the tuna ones with ours.

Mine are Thrive Junkies too it's like Kitty Crack and they are great for sprinkling on food if they lose their appetite/get bored with the food, mine love the Chicken and the Prawn but they don't get the Prawns often as they smell bad

Oooh yes, you make a good point there GreyHare about sprinkling them on food. They're the perfect texture for crumbling over wet food and getting them interested again. I also used them sprinkled over raw mince to encourage them to try it, while they got used to the texture.

I do exactly the same for anybody reading this thread it's worth pointing out that the Thrive and Pets at Home treats crumble but the Cosma snackies don't. However a quick blast in the blender soon turns them to dust, I had my cat on a duck based exclusion diet and had to sprinkle blended duck snackies on top to keep her eating once she got bored of the food.

I did look and couldn't find anything - that explains it. I won't do another Zooplus order now until next month so I'll try these in the meantime, thanks.

Mine like the chicken thrive and love the cosma duck, but prefer the soft strips or chunks - like perrito duck chunkies.
