Wet Food

How many pouches of wet food per day should an adult cat have? My Mum's Siamese will eat 2 pouches and rarely touches dry. Was just talking to Mum about it as she feels maybe she should need more. I told her maybe that is all she wants to eat! Just wondered how many pouches your cats eat? My Mum's cat won't eat any cooked meat etc so just lives of beef sheba, she won't eat anything else.

Re: Wet Food

My adults would probably eat at least 3 per day. I know for my stud boys, 2 are most definitely not enough. For 2 of them I have to give about half a large can of food at breakfast and teatime, and another pouch or smaller portion of a can at suppertime (9pm). The 3rd boy doesn't eat quite as much but he still needs 3 pouches a day. they don't have dried food at all other than once a fortnight or so.

I doubt that 2 x 100g pouches would be enough for any cat unless it was also getting other food of some sort.

Re: Wet Food

My staple canned foods nowadays are Bozita and Cosma. The Bozita tetrapaks are good too, I think they are 380g so almost as big as a can (400g)
My Burmilla boy is a bit fussier than the other 2, he doesn't like the canned Bozita or Cosma although he will eat some of the flavours in the Bozita tetrapaks. He likes Applaws chicken, or ocean fish, as well as raw minced beef and cooked white fish, but some of the time I have to give him felix or whiskas

Thankyou Naomi. Mum was thinking the same and is going to work on getting her to have some more. She is not thin at all and is well covered, lots of weight stored on her since she got spayed. She is 5 and goes outside etc so must be using a fair bit of energy.

Thank you for that hun xx and sorry Biawhiskas for nicking your thread for a sec there xxx

Re: Wet Food

I had some food delivered from here Superior Raw Pet Food By Back to Nature I have to say my cats have never eaten anything so readily, they lick the bowls clean and actually look for more. They are even trying to get at it as it's defrosting, lol. So far they've had the raw woild rabbit and the raw chicken.
