Thanks Wendy for the nice coments about the food!
My cats are just the opposite to yours, they LOVE the wild rabbit minced and chunked, rabbit variety and Ox but are not to keen on the chicken except when mixed in with the wild rabbit.
Ordering by phone or email at the moment, online shop opening soon.

Just in the middle of creating some new cat treats (like Thrive but more variety inc Ostrich!) I would be interested in finding some people to trail them if anybodys interested!
oh silly me! i knew i'd seen that link somewhere, was your sig lol xx

will be on phone monday for my trial pack xx

Smile Wet Food day 3!

lol... sorry wanted to say 5 of mine have not touched dry in 3 days even when i put some down in the evening. they've enjoyed their wet so much, finishing it all off and have now tried raw mince which i am sure they will enjoy more as they get used to it so hopefully weaning them off the junk food won't be so bad! they are having some kitten nature's menu too, well my 6month old is. the rest are all ok to have adult now, plus some foods i have are for any age. very happy thus far.

Re: Wet Food

I noticed that some cat owners give their cats raw food ie chicken wings as one said - so i was wondering if i could give my cats chicken fillets raw instead of steaming it for them, they go through 3 kgs of chicken fillets as well as their felix pouches and royal canin kitten 36 and 1kg of white fish cooked quickly in the microwave ( they eat better than me) in about a week.

Any suggestions folks

There's no issues with feeding them chicken fillets raw.

Re: Wet Food

Yep, feeding the chicken raw is absolutely fine and will save you a fair bit of time I imagine!

About the fish you feed, is it completely cooked? I ask because: "An enzyme found in all raw fish, called thiaminase, can destroy vitamin B-1 (Thiamin), leading to neurological disorders accompanied by a general physical wasting due to loss of appetite. This enzyme can be destroyed by cooking the food, which however reduces overall nutritional density of the food itself as well."

Taken from Of Cats and Fish - Cat Nutrition Facts from Feline Future

So if you feed fish more than once a week make sure it's cooked

Re: Wet Food

My cat eats 3 pouches a day mixed in with dry food. He's a big tom cat and needs his energy up! I find that he doesn't overeat and if he's full he leaves the food behind for later!
