Ziwi Peak?

Anyone any knowledge of this? I saw it in a different pet shop to those I usually go to today and wondered of it's any good? I'm always on the lookout for extra good quality/high meat food brands that can be bought locally - though this could only be an occasional food for my lot as it's quite expensive - small bag of dry was £5.79 and small individual tins were £1.69 each

Re: Ziwi Peak?

It is a good food, top quality ingredients but very expensive and no cat I know would touch the dry

Re: Ziwi Peak?

I was lucky enough to come across this in a local pet shop.It was a new line the owner was trialing,so gave me a sample of the dry, which is a strange texture, slightly moistish not crunchy.Meeko loved it for the first couple of attempts, but after that he didnt want to know.I didnt try the wet as I doubt he would have entertained it

Pretty much the same here....every few weeks I dig it out and get rid of a few flakes to the hungriest cat, but it is not a popular choice

Re: Ziwi Peak?

OK so the dry probably isn't worth trying (am trying to get away with as little dry as I can and they love Orijen) but has anyone tried the wet? Is it cereal free?

Re: Ziwi Peak?

Thanks Buffie - the website makes it sound very impressive so I'll pick up a can or two for my three to try next time I go. Hope they don't love it too much as it will only be a treat!

Re: Ziwi Peak?

My Rosie loves the wet Ziwi Peak and gets it fairly often, as it is the only food I can buy locally, that I deem good enough for her. It really does seem to be of high quality.

The owner of my local pet store claims that most cats go crazy for the wet, but that they need a little more time to get used to the dry. As Rosie eats everything, I haven't had a problem getting her to eat the dry, but she only gets it as a snack. I would diffidently prefer giving her Ziwi Peak dry over Orijen as it hasn't been treated to as high temperatures.
