Strange behaviour
Hi I have a lovely male cat, not sure of age as he came to us as a stray but vet says between 4 - 7 years. We have had him about 10 months and he seems to be settling in well, until last week. Since then he will not walk from the living room to the kitchen, he makes a manic run for it down the hallway while meowing. I thought this was funny the first few times but now I am worried. Any ideas would be really helpful, many thanks.
Sorry, new to this and just realised I have put this in the wrong forum ![]() Last edited by bertie21; 05-10-2011 at 08:39 PM.. Reason: wrong forum |

Re: Strange behaviour
He may well be jumpy or nervous due to the building works going on this is quite common, if the problem is solely in the hallway and he's okay in the rest of the house he may have had a bad experience there which he's now associating with that area of the house (he could have been in there when the builders dropped something and made a loud bang or somebody could have accidently stepped on his tail etc). Either way Feliway is defintely worth a try.

Re: Strange behaviour
Mine do this when I forget to use the steamer down the skirting board in the hall, the result of my forgetfulness is a sudden hatching of very hungry fleas which jump aboard the passing cat, who then flys dramatically into the kitchen.
