Re: Raw? Still a bit baffled!!
Might have to stick with the 450g though because my 2 would take more than a few days to get through 1kg all the time it defrosting in the fridge.. might be too hard to get multiple 'scoops' out of the frozen 1kg tub.

Re: Raw? Still a bit baffled!!
I think this is it.
Whatever you do, it won't be perfect, so I am thinking about just feeding a rotational of each flavour of meat that I get, so every week, I'll give them something like: Monday - Wet food Tuesday - Raw (Chicken) Wednesday - Raw (Beef) Thursday - Raw (Fish) Friday - Raw (Duck) Saturday - Raw (Lamb) Sunday - Random from the above or something else they need that I haven't listed. One or two days a week I'll give them a chicken wing or something else boney. I may also add heart and liver in the evenings, depending on what they ate in the morning (for instance, one of the beef dishes says it's "beef and heart"). Dry would be available all the time. It might not be absolutely perfect but I am sure it'll be alright. Obviously I'll monitor and see what happens. The other thing about having the large tubs is that the meat would be good for a couple of days. Anything over that is very questionable. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * A list of raw meat suppliers that I found: Prices/weights are rounded to nearest "nice" values. Lincs Pets - £0.50 / 450g - Limited delivery (East Coast & Midlands) Raw to Go - £0.60 / 450g - £10 for delivery Natural Instinct - £2.00 / 450g - Minimum order required I think I have a couple more at home so I'll add them when I'm at home. If there is enough interest, then I can do a bit more of a guide for where to get stuff and prices, which I'll be doing for my own use anyway when I move my cats to raw. |

Considering others are doing meat for £0.60 for 450g. Unless I am missing something here (I'm sleep deprived!) Last edited by anotheruser; 08-10-2011 at 02:51 PM.. |
