Cats Nipple

My Cat has a red swollen nipple which she's had for 3 weeks. She bites at it sometimes too, any idea what it is or any good treatment creams etc? http://www.flickr.com/photos/68340553@N08/6211977453

Re: Cats Nipple

How old is she? I've read that red swollen nipples can be a sign of feline breast cancer. I think you should get it checked out by the vet just to be on the safe side. Could be just a little inflamed.

Re: Cats Nipple

Taking her to the vets is the only option. Would you really want to just use a cream on her when you don't even know what the cause is? She may have an infection and need antibiotics. Personally, I wouldn't have let it go on for 3 weeks without taking her to the vets.
