Re: Poor Spartacus...
If inflicted during a fight it may also be due to infection. Any sign of a puncture wound? If the swelling increases or she gets more lethargic though I'd call the emergency vets and ask their advice.
Depending on your location an X-ray would be somewhere in region of £150.00. |

Re: Poor Spartacus...
Thanks - she's just let me have a good look at it and it doesn't seem/look broken. However the more I look at it the more I wonder if she's been bitten or clawed, as there's "ruffling" on her leg, as if the fur isn't sitting right and she is using her scratch post with both paws so if it was badly injured I'm assuming she wouldn't use it.
She is insured anyway, but hopefully it wont be too expensive as Hercules has his jabs due this month, plus OH's birthday! ![]()

Re: Poor Spartacus...
Update
![]() Its not broken! It is a bite wound (vet had a good look and saw the puncture wound) coupled with an abscess. So she's had an injection to ease the pain and swelling and she's on tablets for a while and we need to go back on Thursday for sedation and draining. Poor little mite is now feeling much cheerier and has let Hercules give her a good bath.
