Re: 8 Week Old Kitten With Weepy Eyes - Please Help!

Until you can get her to a vet, I'd suggest gently wiping the eyes with a muslin / linen soft cloth (eg: old handkerchief or napkin) dipped in boiled but 'cooled a bit' water. Use a different bit of cloth for each eye to avoid cross-contamination. Hold the cloth against each (closed) eye for a few seconds as the warmth gives the eyes a bit of relief.

I do this for my cat Merson as he has a sensitive eye.

Try not to use cotton wool or cotton wool pads if possible as a fibre might get into her eyes.

Also, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for your help.

I have also heard a cold tea bag in water can help with eye infections in kittens as well?
