Hi everyone I'm new to this forum!Just wondered if anyone was having the same problem as me. My cat George who is 2 has been diagnosed with crystals in his urinary tract and is very poorly! He had to have a catheter fitted last weekend and is now going to be on a special diet for the rest of his life. I'm constantly watching over him to make sure he goes for a wee but the last couple of days he is point blank refusing to go for a wee unless I clean out his litter tray beforehand! Also he will not drink from a bowl and will only drink running water. I was wondering if this whole problem is behavioural?? I have a younger cat who isn't having any of these problems but George seems to be the troublesome one lol. Is anyone else having problems such as this? |

Re: Cat urinary problems
One of our old moggies, almost 10, has this problem.
He tends to only want to eat dry food so we have to buy him a special one. You should probably try a water fountain as it encourages them to drink. Fiona
