Ordering from Floyds

Ok, I've had one too many damaged orders from Zooplus and I'm done with them. I'll use them for litter, but certainly not for food any more. I know some of you have ordered from Floyds before, but am not sure how to do it myself. Could someone talk me through the process, i.e, which brands besides the usual Animonda, Smilla, Grau, are good, whether their site is in English, the web address, costs etc? Also, if anyone wants to share an order then I'm happy to do that.

Thanks a lot!

Re: Ordering from Floyds

I order from them and they are really good, I've never had a problem . It's 10.50 EUR for delivery for something like 30 kg so just add up the weight of what you're ordering as you go so you can get a good variety of different foods.

I find that easiest way to browse is with Google Chrome as it has a built in translator as the site is in German but when ordering I always have the site open in one tab in German and the translated site in another tab and use the German version to add things to the basket as the translator can cause issues with this.

Floyds have Great Britain as a delivery option at the checkout which makes it really easy and then you can pay with Paypal.

The food will depend on what you consider a 'good' food to be. Personally I think that GranataPet, PetNatur and Pfotenliebe are really good foods so I go with those and also Tigercat as my cheaper food. Macs is also a good cheaper food, shame my lot won't touch it though.

Re: Ordering from Floyds

Well, this sounds super. I don't have Google Chrome though. Do you know of any other way to translate this? I can't use Chrome either as it doesn't work with the software I use to access my computer (I'm blind, so have screen reading software that just doesn't interact with Chrome). I presume they sell Grau and Smilla, do they?

And do you have a web address for them? I don't even have that!

Re: Ordering from Floyds

Here's the link Floyds Pfotenshop

The only translator I use otherwise is the normal google translator I haven't used another one so can't help there, sorry.

Yes you can buy Grau from them but it's more expensive than Zooplus. Smilla is made specifically for Zooplus so you can only get that one from them.

Re: Ordering from Floyds

If you need a direct link to the translated version, here it is: Google Translate: Floyds Pfotenshop

I would recommend similar foods to the one Dom recommended, except ours love MACs and won't touch Pfotenliebe, so it's all a matter of your cat's taste! I got a selection of lots of different foods. The shopping cart will quite helpfully tell you what weight you're up to, which is good. I ordered when I was just under 30kg.

Re: Ordering from Floyds

I've been trying to order but it just doesn't work for me!!

Google translate is ok for some of it, but as soon as you put something in your basket, or try to open an account, it reverts back to German so is impossible to read!!

Can't be bothered with it

Re: Ordering from Floyds

when I ordered I just emailed Daniela with a list of what I wanted and she sent an invoice for what I wanted. No problems at all. I had issues with the website as well, hence I did it that way
