Iheartcats will become famous soon enough
Re: Friend's fleas!

Fleas are a pain in the arse. I am adamant this time we are going down the preventative route rather than a treatment route. My old cats suffered terribly with fleas and we ended up going down the same road as Moggybaby. I don't think my vet does Advocate or if they do they are keeping quiet. I think they have shares in Frontline Combo but I don't think its all that great. The program injections work the best. My next door neighbour uses Stronghold again from the vet.

I'll let her know about frontline. When I was ringing around looking for a vets for their booster vaccines the one I've gone with recommends effipro as they said it was better than frontline.

Thanks to this forum, I went onto Advocate - Ok, I put the CATS onto Advocate - back in April of this year and haven't had a flea bite since!!! The stuff is AMAZING. It treats both the cat and the area it frequents within the house. I have not had to spray the house as the Advocate did it all for me.

It also treats ear mites and MOST types of worms. It is a spot-on and available from the vet.

I really would be recommending this to your friend.
EEk! I use frontline combo, spend £50 a month and still get fleas!!
I shall be changing to Advocate
