Upset stomach in new cat

Hi,

I adopted 2 cats on Saturday, and today the male has not been his usual energetic self, he has just been sleeping on the sofa.
About an hour ago he threw up, and he has had two poos, both of which were softer than usual (although I wouldn't say they were really watery).

Is this just a 'normal' stomach upset? We haven't changed their food and his sister is fine.

Thanks

It's hard to say at this stage but if it continues and he remains lethargic I'd pop him along to the vets. Might be an infection.

Hope he's better soon.

Re: Upset stomach in new cat

Fingers crossed it is a tummy upset or down to the hot weather. If he gets any worse today or still isn't right in the morning, I'd give the vet a call. If he hasn't managed to keep water or food down for 24 hours at any stage then he certainly need to see a vet as he can quickly become dyhydrated especially as it's warm.

Re: Upset stomach in new cat

It could just be settling in nerves or the change in weather. However if there are any symptoms lasting over 24hrs I would call my vet for reassurance/advice.
