Hi,

How long is the food being left out for? After a period will they eat it, if their hungry or ignore it full stop?

I just have to be sure that Socks is getting all she wants.

I leave the wet down as long as possible, i usually throw it out when it starts to dry out or smells a bit. One day max so no they don't eat it even if hungry.

They have to see you putting it in though Our crafty beggars won't bother if they can't see where it's gone in the food

Luckily we are going through a good phase *touch wood* where they are eating everything straight away
