Re: Help please need advice on my male cat and kitten
Quote:
I really need to read up on kittens, i lived in a flat with my male cat till he was 2 so it wasnt an option to let him out, i must sound very silly with the questions. Im guessing the running up curtains, scratching my 3 mth old new sofa's and meowing at my door all night is part of being a kitten lol x |

Re: Help please need advice on my male cat and kitten
[QUOTE=izzymum;1061453423]Oh i thought they could leave at 8 weeks, ok makes sense she also kneads me all the time and tries to do it to me. I know i should know this but when can female cats have kittens ? am i best to keep them indoors untill they have been done ? thats what i did with my male but they are desperate to go out and you have to be very carefull when you open doors
The vet told me he will pass the grass himself, i did phone today and could tell the vet was a bit anoyed about me asking again but it is really worrying any noise he makes is so low and just not like him, and no dosent retch or anything ?Thankyou for the reply very appreciated[Some charities spay female cats at 4months with no problems. Some vets suggest 5 months. Your vet will advise you. Please book as early as possible. Some vets sign up to the C4 scheme (free nuetering/spaying). If your vet doesn't do it - there is a number you can call and they will tell you the address of the nearest Vets who do. If spare cash isn't a problem there are fences that you can buy that will keep your cats in your garden. It is a light-weight, black, mesh, bendy fence that cats cannot climb. I got mine from `Purrfect Fence' on the Internet - sent over from America (It might be worth checking if there is now a UK based company manufactering a non-electic fence). These fences are attractive and can be supplied with a gate (in case you need to access around the area for gardening). It would be best to leave an area of the garden un-fenced for other cats (and foxes) to pass en-route. I would advise anyone to buy one - especially for kittens. Kittens are more vunerable to foxes etc. |
