Re: Feeding advice needed please

Just another Bozita recommendation here. Mine have recently started having the pate tetrapacks and they ALL love it, and it's quite unheard of for all my cats to love the same food.

Re: Feeding advice needed please

My boys love Bozita but I'm reluctant to feed them it as it gives them smelly poops, but I think it's just them!

Why do you need to see scientific research papers to show that dry food is not good for cats? Once you recognise that a cat is an obligate carnivore and has no ability to digest and derive nutrition from plant-based food and grains, it's a no-brainer! There is some good information here for a start:

Feeding cats for beginners (and more seasoned cat owners alike)

And the 'physiology' section of the Wiki entry on cats:

Cat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Loads of good info here:

Feline Nutrition

and here (written by a vet)

Feeding Your Cat: Know the Basics of Feline Nutrition :: healthy cat diet, making cat food, litter box, cat food, cat nutrition, cat urinary tract health

I could go on....

I would never be able to work out which one is giving them smelly poop cos they usually have some of each food every day

It's not just your boys... Bloo is the bozita fan in our house and you certainly know when he has been!!! Freckle obliges us by eating Grau, Animonda and Smilla (and stealing whatever human food he can) and it's a lot easier to use the bathroom after him. Of course Bloo compounds the issue by choosing to go while someone is in the shower

I used to feed some Applaws wet, but Freckle would refuse to eat anything else and it made him a bit runny so we had to do away with it entirely. They are both still getting Applaws/Orijen dry as a snack until we run out.

Glad it isn't just my lot then! Storm is the worst, Benji's smells less. But that's because Storm also pinches anything that remotely resembles bread...But Bozita really gives him smellies
