Concerned about my kittens Tail

My kitten had an accident regarding her tail yesterday, since then ive noticed a lump in the middle of her tail and past that point her tail has gone limp, i rang the vet for advice and they said she has either broke her tail or dislocated it, we are taking her to the PDSA monday to have her looked at, if it is a brake her the middle of her tail would it ever heal without her having it amputated? her tail is just so darn cute not that i would put her welfare over the cuteness of her tail

p.s she plays around the way she normally does, and the only time it seems to hurt her is if our older cat gets abit to rough with her and catchs it

Re: Concerned about my kittens Tail

Its not my choice to take her monday if i had the resources to get her there earlier i would, she is acting completely fine, i get paid on monday and the nearest PDSA is 40 miles away so unfortunatly i cant afford the travel fair, i spoke to the vet and they said she should be ok to wait till monday, if she was in any obvious discomfort i would walk there to make sure she was ok

Re: Concerned about my kittens Tail

Hopefully it's not a serious injury to her tail.

I know when #3 cat, Max, lived next door he disappeared for a few days while they had workmen in fitting new c/h. When he finally reappeared his tail was badly injured and they suspected it'd been trapped in a door, most likely accidentally by one of the workmen (tho' they said nothing if they were aware of it) Sadly, it ended up with him having most of his tail amputated.

Another local cat has been going round for months with a clearly broken tail, the last few inches just flops around, it must have been agony and probably stll hurts. God knows what his owners, whoever they are, are thinking about just leaving him like this.

What actually did she do to injure her tail? Were you there when she did it or not?

Hope everything goes ok on Monday.
