Sick Cat very worried

Hello everybody,

I woke up this morning and found some sick next to Max's cat tray.
I looked inside his tray, and I found some pooh with a smidgen of blood in it

My wife took him & Tigger to the vet, and the vet has given Max some antibiotics and some fluids, and sent her home with some special food and some antibiotics for him.
The vet was not really phased about the blood in the stool, or not overly concerned about Max, but said if there is no change then we have to bring him on Saturday.

She also thinks Max may have defect in that he cant Meow, or not Meow very well. I am wondering is this a bad sign? the vet just said it can happen and said no more about it according to my wife.

She said Temps and everything are OK, but we must we monitor them both for a few days...

We are both so Sad, as we just cant work out what is going on? The vet said that both Max & Tigger are both a little underweight!! Which is surprising to us as Tigger eats nearly 200g of food per day, and Max Was eating more, and we were getting worried we are over feeding them.

They both get lots of treats daily and we always play with them both, using various toys etc, so they are both well exercised, I would say about 2 hours per day.

I am concerned we are doing something wrong? We feed them 4 times per day & they only ever get wet food, the both will not eat Dry, which is fine by me.

They eat a Mixture of Encore, Filex Kitten food. I did notice that about a day before we got Tigger Max had calmed down on his eating.

However This morning even though Max had been sick, he still ate his food, not of all of it, but he ate.

I have always been regimental about feeding them, same time every day.
7:30 am
1:00 pm
5:00 pm
10:00 pm

then I leave a little out over night, with a spoonful of dry which is never eaten, and they get treats in between the 5pm and 10pm meal.

Am I doing something wrong?
My wife just rang me to tell me (she is off sick too ) that Max is eating the food the vet gave us, and seems to be full of life.

Thanks All, I guess I just wanted to tell you guys, the people I work with are like "its only a cat why you so worried" and I would prefer hearing from people who actually care about our feline friends.

Thanks

Jason
