Changing foods.....

Hi all,

I have been slowly changing my kitten to a bozita food in jelly which is going ok atm, but when I do a next order on zooplus i want to try a couple more, do you always recommend introducing new foods over say a 7-10 day period? Or is it ok to do it in less time when they have been introduced to a higher quality food.?

Thanks

Re: Changing foods.....

I sorta introduced a few in one go with mine, not sure how much of a good idea it was, but it caused my no issues luckily. My boys seem to take well to all of the high quality foods, the only bad issues I had with them were on royal canin kitten pouches, which were quickly stopped! lol

Its a bit of play by ear, how did your intro go to Bozita? Any issues?

Re: Changing foods.....

I feed my cat's loads of different food and have always just put it down. I've never mixed them in or anything like that. I don't think the majority of cat's stomachs are all that sensitive, unless you have a cat with a food sensitivity i don't think it's needed for you to wean them over.
I mean, I'm sure you don't get an upset stomach every time you eat something new.
