Bulking up foods?

So a quick update on Tigger, he's now on 100% Smilla fish pots. All ok yummy wise so far. I'm going to introduce him to Smilla poultry today, then further down the line we'll try the Animonda again.
He was 3kg when. He had his runny bottom, I'm going to weigh him again today but I can visibly see he has pit weight on plus he has lots of energy now and those mad evening half hours if craziness ha ha.

I was wondering though if there are any Animonda and Smilla varieties which will help him to put weight on? Do you know off the top of your head? I'm going to look at the analysis of them all tomorrow so I'm not asking you to do it for me, just wondered if you knew.

He's currently having about 300gm of Smilla per day. He has as much as he wants in lots of meals but it's working out about 300gm

Re: Bulking up foods?

One of my cat's has been slim for ages, and lately I've been giving him raw every day and he's now a lovely size. I'd recommend you give raw a try.

Re: Bulking up foods?

My Jo was terribly skinny (despite eating ok) and when I managed to sort his tum out (parasites and also a bit of a chicken allergy I think) I got him from cooked meat first on to fish4cats because he's a kibble fan over and above anything else and my first priority was to make sure that he ate. From there back on to feline fayre the fish ones because I knew he loved those and then animonda carny with the odd smilla fishpot.

I think any good quality food where you let him eat as much as he likes should do the trick. It's been a work in progress for me since June and he's a proper chunky monkey but in a good way now.

Re: Bulking up foods?

As long as he's gaining weight, I'd just stick with what you're doing. As Cloudygirl said, any good quality food in sufficient quantities will make him put on weight.
