Exclamation 8 weeks old kitten not eating help :(

hi there, i just got a 8 weeks old male kitten.
he arrived here like 2 days ago, hes been friendly sleeping next to me and very playful everything seems normal. but he hasnt been eating kitten food much :/
the only thing he ate was cereal and milk and some little fish fingers.

is this normal? im just worried he might be eating very little and it might be the things he shouldnt eat

yikes - i'd talk to your vet asap..

are you giving him same food as he had at old place?
cows milk is not good for them

is he weeing & pooing ok?

im not exactly sure what kind of whiskas they were feeding him but i got a whiskas kitten food. he would just smell it then walks away

i have some canned tuna which i would try to give him when he gets up

oh and yes pooing and weeing is ok

Well firstly stop feeding those human foods. They are in no way suitable for cats. Including the tuna. He needs cat food. No cows milk or cereal or fish fingers

Really he is too young to be away form mum ad sounds like he is not properly weaned.

You need to find out exactly what type of food he was eating at the old place. And carry on trying to get him to eat cat appropriate food.

Personally I would stop feeding him cereal and fish fingers, maybe try putting him on a better quality food such as hi-life, natures menu, animonda carny etc, or even better see if he can go back to the mother for 4weeks until he is fully ready :-)
