Re: Fussy eaters
It's very rare for all of my cats to suddenly decide they don't like the same food, hence it doesn't get left down long at all if one of them doesn't eat it because the others certainly would if they got a chance!
I've always found it's very important to vary their food. They usually have 4/5 brands rotating, and a few flavours within each brand. They have 4 meals a day, and if they have to have the same brand twice in a day, they certainly never have the same flavour. I usually have a few tins in the fridge at any one time, and with 3 cats, I have to stick to 200g tins as a maximum size because it would be hanging around too long otherwise.
If one of them goes off a particular brand, I tend not to offer it to that cat for about a week, and then try again. If they all go off a brand, I'll put it to the back of the food cupboard for a month or more, and mix it with one of their current favourites when I bring it back out. If there's something that they just pick at (rather than turning their noses up completely), I try to only serve it mixed with something else that they really love, and that seems to work.
