What Should I Expect ?

My cat is going in for her op on tuesday to remove a tumour on her side. The vet has said he needs to take away skin around it and also muscle will have to be removed. What should i expect when i get her home on tue night? Will she be able to walk? Will she just want to lie about? Will she be up for eating, she will have to wear a cat collar to stop her licking her wound is she able to eat and get about with this on. sorry for all the questions i just want to be prepared i also have 3 young children tht i will be trying my best to keep away from wee abbey cat xx

Re: What Should I Expect ?

I can't imagine the vet will send her home if she can't walk or eat. Yes, she may want to lie about - having just had an anasthetic she will be tired and sleepy for a couple of days probably. If she has a collar on, they are able to eat with it on and get about, though she may bump into walls she can't see out of the side. Good luck!
