Minimum period between worming cat?

Normally I worm every three months. Gave my cat profender spot-on three weeks ago but suspect a worm was not killed. The cat eats and then the food seems to dissapear inside him and very little comes out the other end. He looks full for only a short while after eating. Now I am aware there could be other issues so dont need advice to go to vet, I'll do that if necessay. But I have a second wormer which I'm told is better and i'd like to try it on him. It's called Milbemax tablets. So what is the minimum period between worming?
Thanks.

Re: Minimum period between worming cat?

I was given that by the vet for my kitten - I had to give her half a tablet then the other half 2 weeks later.

I had Willow for 4 days when I went to the vets, and wasnt sure what and when she had been given for worming before I got her because the woman told my OH 'the vet will probably worm her again anyway' and didnt really answer the question of what and when she had been wormed!

I did tell the vet this and she gave me wormer anyway - this probably hasn't helped you at all

Be sure to take a sample with you in case they need it.

Silly me threw it out this morning being Sunday but he is going in in an hour as he has to be nil by mouth for a while and I want him under supervision in case he dehydrates. So as he will be in posssibly three days they should be able to do all the tests. Thanks
