Re: 17yr old cat loves raw

Is that Natural Instincts? Do the dogs eat the same ones as the cats?

Yes Natural Instincts - and no they don't eat the same - the dog has very different needs to the cats - so I buy the dog ones for the dog - working dog turkey or chicken (as they are the cheapest) - about £2.45 a kilo, and the cats one (hopefully new flavours soon) - dearer @ £2.00 for 450g.

Re: 17yr old cat loves raw

As Spid says, the cat version of raw food is a little expensive on the face of it, but the cat only needs 2-3% of it's own body weight in balanced raw food, so it actually works out pretty good value as they don't eat so much!
spid likes this.

Re: 17yr old cat loves raw

If they decided to do it in bigger packs - 1kg - it would bring the price down - with 3 cats to feed it would easily get used.

Yes.....but for me the benefit of a slightly lower price would be far out weighed by the loss of freshness. I would rather defrost a new pack each day.

I see your point - but at the mo I'm going through two packs a day anyway - so a larger one for me would be better.

We had our beloved 18 year old cat (Co Co) put to sleep last week .. as he got older he needed Hill's® Prescription Diets® for Dogs and Cats it’s designed to help them considering there age and ability to eat I would highly recommend this to you as it helped our cat so much and gave us another 6 months together.

Sorry - won't touch Hills - and it's not my cat - I'm looking after it for a neighbour. She is LOVING the raw.
