Stomach acid and raised feeding bowls
I am thinking of getting a raised feeder, suspect stomach acid or difficulty due to heart problems.
As a temporary solution/trial run I am looking around the house for something to place food bowls on, but am not sure what sort of height it would need to be. Any advice/ suggestions welcome, thank you.

Re: Stomach acid and raised feeding bowls
I had to raise Oscar's bowls (water and food) due to stomach acid. I've got them on two upturned plastic tupperware boxes, they are about 1.5 inches deep.
Since I've done this Oscar hasn't had any problems at all ![]() |

Re: Stomach acid and raised feeding bowls
Thank you for the replies, last night I put his bowl on a plastic freezer container which fitted perfectly, not sure if it did any good but the bowl was empty when I checked to gve him a refil.
I was wondering if those little metal feeders that take 2 bowls would be too high? They look like wrought iron. Have seen ceramic bowls on bases for sale in the USA but they look a bit high, which is what made me ask.
