Cats Poop

Hello there,

I was just wondering, my cat hasnt had a poop since wednesday night.

Do cats do this? go without pooping for a few days?

He is weeing fine, drinking and eating too.

Any Advice?

Hi,

If your cat is not pooping as regularly as it normally does on the same diet I think it is worth getting it checked out at a vets. I don't think it's normal not to poop for at least 48 hour IMO.

If this is the same cat as in your other thread, currently on cage rest....well I would probably pop him to the vets so they can have a good feel of his intestines.
Frequency of bowel movements will be influenced by diet....less poop on raw or high protein for example....also by levels of activity, and he is confined to a cage isnt he? Given your concern I presume this is a change from his normal pattern over recent weeks though.
If you cant get there until tomorrow I would feed a meal of oily tinned fish and see if that is enough to speed things through a little!
