Re: vaccinations
They should have injections at 9 weeks and then at around 12 weeks. They will both need to start the course because the first one has missed it's second injection. I would get them to the vet sooner rather than later as they have both been let outside without having their jabs done and they could have picked up absolutely anything.
As for them fighting, it is a natural kitten thing but if you feel that one is being a bit of a bully then make sure he gets told off and moved away from the other one, especially if she is nervous. Make sure the little one has plenty of time and attention on her own too so that she builds in confidence and starts to trust you. Hope this helps Lou X |

Re: vaccinations
Can take anything from a couple of days to a couple of months for cat/kittens to settle with another cat or kitten - you cannot put a timer on it as theyre all different xx be patient and make sure they have lots of positive times with each other and they'll get there x
agreed on jabs also - they both need full set and your other one should have finished her jabs but didn't so needs to start again for the vaccinations to actually help x glad someone responsible took the kittens in - can't believe that woman was letting the poor thing out!!! xx edit: ask your vet what wormers they do - i use panacur paste on all my kittens but it can be a messy job lol xx |

Re: vaccinations
We recently look in two kittens that had been living in a garden and have taken them to get their jabs done this week. Make sure you get the vet to check their ears and tell them they have already been outside.
As ours had been living in a garden, they had picked up ear mites (which I thought they might have after eventually getting close enough to them to look in their ears). Get them wormed and defleaed too as ours had both due to living in the garden and the person we got them from not having bothered to do either. Our jabs cost us £59 for each kitten, which included one set immediately now and then another set in two weeks time. We weren't sure exactly how old ours were when we got them either but the vet was helpful and weighed them etc and confirmed that they are now about 10 weeks old. I hope they're both ok. If they are having trouble settling in, Feliway has worked wonders for helping our wee ferel beasties settle in, as for the first week or so, they just hid under the sofa and hissed at us if we tried to get close to them! |
