Thank you what would you recommend chicken wise? So just get it from the supermarket, cut it up and put it in their bowls? I honestly don't mean to sound so thick

Re: Another raw food question

I don't feed chicken as one of mine is allergic to anything that once sported feathers.

However, if I were you I would get a whole chicken (with giblets if you can) and take it apart. What you don't feed that day, just freeze. The chicken ribs are a great bone to get raw novices used to crunching bone; the chicken wings, particularly, the wing tips, are good too. Drumsticks will be too big for them to start off with (and some cats never seem to get the hang of those big bones), so you can either let them strip the meat off the bone or you do it for them.

You should get quite a few occasional meals out of one chicken

No worries. You can get disposable vinyl gloves if that makes handling the raw food easier.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
