Re: stupid blimmin' iams advert

hahahaha yeah cats never drink enough so water is a good thing

my cat has put so much weight on (I've just been saying in another thread because she's getting ready for winter and eating more than she does in summer) it's a good thing though because she was looking scrawny . . . but I've JUST been feeding her wet food. . .she does enjoy a few biscuits in an afternoon just for a bit of a change for her but I've only been giving her the wet stuff because she wasn't eating much in the warm weather and I wanted her to get the most out of the food she was eating instead of filling up on biscuits!

there's a lot of issues around Iams as far as I'm concerned so I don't like them adverts anyway

my dad once bought her some Iams food and I asked him to take it back to the shop unopened when he next went

Re: stupid blimmin' iams advert

was thinking the same. it really annoyes me esp. because one of my cats suffered 3 times with struvite crystals and almost died, not to mention the emotional stress & vet bill!
Im so glad I found this forum and Hobbs food recommendations (massive thank you to Hobbs!)(i wish such a thing would exist on the dog forum too, I'm still trying to figure out whats the best dog food available)
what annoyes me most is that people believe those adds and even most vets tell you to feed dry food.
i was just talking to a friend who got a new dog and he told me he feeds the dog the best food in the world. when i asked him what it was he said: pedegree! duh! i gave him a good lecturing of what i learned here

Re: stupid blimmin' iams advert

I wonder how strong the power of advertising is - I wonder how many blocked cats we'll get as a direct result of that advert and people choosing to feed dry iams

Re: stupid blimmin' iams advert

I usually feed my cat ONLY on wet food in the summer. .. in the winter she can have a few biscuits if she wants them but in the summer wet food is a must

Does anyone know if that is John Liden (Johny Rotten ) doing the voiceover? It certainly sounds like him.
